On 29 June 2018, commemorating the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, the Pallottine family was blessed to have 31 young men raised to the order of Deacons. The con-celebrated Holy Eucharist was presided over by Most. Rev. K.A. William, Bishop of Mysore, in the presence of Rev. Fr. Varghese Pullan, Provincial Rector of Prabhu Prakash Province and fathers, sisters and faithful from in and around Mysore. Four of these 31 Deacons are from the Prabhu Prakash Province, five from the Khrist Jyothi Province and twenty from ABVM Province and two from other Dioceses. We congratulate them and pray that God’s blessings be upon them as they follow His way and wish them a fruitful Diaconate ministry.

SCC workshop at PAC

An introductory workshop on Small Christian Community was organised by Pallottine Animation Centre from 17 to 22 June 2018. The national service team for SCC’s led by Fr. George Jacob (secretary to NST for SCC under CBCI) guided the workshops and sessions. In all 43 participants, including priests, religious and lay people from the dioceses of Raipur, Sambalpur, Khuti, Ranchi and Khumta attended the workshop. Congratulations to the Director of PAC for taking the initiative in organising the workshop for the promotion of SCCs.

In yet another instance of Tech Pallottines going global, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology at Nagpur signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. on 21 June 2018. Rev. Fr. George Madeikkal, Former Director of SVPCET along with two professors and 14 students St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology had left for a month long Summer Internship on Artificial Intelligence at Harrisburg University, U. S. A. We congratulate the Management and Staffs at SVPCET for their hard work in organising such an internship and for this historical achievement.

Missionary Childhood Association at Phuvkiu

MCA Members

Missionary Childhood Association, a pious association consisting of children who have received Holy Communion and are not part of youth group of the parish, was formed on 16 June 2018 at Christ the King Parish, Phuvkiu. The association is formed with the intention of making the children active in the parish activities and bringing them one step closer to Jesus. Monthly meetings, rosaries, classes on sacraments, teaching of music and hymns, fund raising programmes and cleaning of the Church and its surroundings are being planned for the days ahead.

A newly built village church at Lora village in Kimin was named after St. Vincent Pallotti, our Founder, to mark the occasion of the 200th ordination anniversary of our Founder on o9 June, 2018. It was inaugurated and blessed by Rev. Fr. Jacob Mattathilani, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Itanagar in the presence of Rev. Fr. Wilson Puthenpurayil, the outgoing Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Shyjesh George, the new Parish Priest, Priests, Nuns and large number of faithful.

On 15th June 2018 Fr. Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel took charge as Director in place of Fr. George Medeikkal and Dr. Surendra Gole as the new Principal of St.Vincent Pallotti College, Nagpur. The program was blessed by the presence of Rev. Fr. Varghese Pullan, Chairman of the Nagpur Pallotine Society and Priovincial Rector, Religious Sisters, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff members. We wish them success in taking ahead the prestigious institution.

Pallottigiri began its new academic year on 13 June 2018 with the solemn Holy Eucharist presided over by Rev. Fr. Varghese Pullan, Provincial Rector. The community has 8 new entrants to first year, 03 to Second year and Rev. Fr. Tomy Philip as the New Rector and Rev. Fr. Wilson Puthenpurayil as the new Bursar. We wish all the Formators and brothers  God’s choicest blessings for the days ahead.

Kimin Mission bids farewell to its Shepherd and extends welcome to the New

Rev. Fr. Wilson Puthenpurayil, who served as the Parish Priest of Kimin Mission for the last six years, bid farewell to Arunachal Pradesh to take up his new assignment in Kerala. The installation of Rev. Fr. Shyjesh George as the new Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr. Jijo Jacob as the Assistant Parish Priest of Queen Mary Catholic Church, Kimin also took place on 03 June 2018. Rev. Fr. Joseph Vadayaparambil of the Itanagar Diocese installed both of them to their respective responsibilities in the Kimin mission.
