The first of the two retreats of 2008 was held at PILLAR Madurai from October, 7-11. It was an experience of Journey Inward for all the 64 confreres from three entities who took part in the retreat. It was preached by Rev. Fr. R. V. Mathias and Fr. Arogyaswami S.J. There were 16 confreres from our Province: Fr. Joseph Thazhanganatt, Fr. Raju Chemparathy, Fr. Vincent Thottupatt, Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Bro. George Chemplamparambil, Fr. George Thattamparambil, Fr. Jose Poovakulath, Fr. James Annithottathil, Fr, Joy Palachuvattil, Fr. Johnson Maniyamkott, Fr. Paul Animoottil, Fr. Mathew Mangalasseril, Fr. Tomy Thomas, Fr. Johnson Puthur, Fr. Jose Joseph Payattikattil and Fr. Joseph Koovely.
