February 26, 2009 was a historic day for the Pallottines in Nagpur. Thirty Nine lay associates, after a long period of collaboration and a year of intensive UAC formation, have made their apostolic commitment to UAC and have taken the challenge to live the Pallottine Charism to become apostles in their life situations. One of them being an unbaptised has taken the commitment to be a UAC collaborator. The rite of Commitment to UAC was held at PAC Chapel during the solemn Holy Eucharist celebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Friedrich Kretz, the Ecclesiastical Assistant to UAC and the Rector General of SAC. Rev. Sr. Josephine D’Souza, the President of UAC Coordination Council of India (UAC-CCI) received their commitment and gave them the UAC Cross as a symbol of their membership. Later a short felicitation programme was held, where Rev. Fr. Friedrich Kretz felicitated all the newly committed UAC members with flowers. Rev. Sr. Josephine D’Souza felicitated them all on behalf of the International Coordination Council of UAC and UAC-CCI; Rev. Fr. Augustine Varickakal, on behalf of the Prabhu Prakash Province felicitated them and wished them God’s abundant blessings; and Ms. Theresa Dominic, Secretary of Pallottine Youth Forum at the Engineering College, congratulated them. Rev. Fr. Zenon Hanas, the Vice General of SAC, released the Manuel of UAC formation titled “Chosen to Bear Fruit that Endure-” and gave the first copy to Rev. Fr. Friedrich Kretz. Mr. Norman, UAC and Mrs. Lisy Lawrence, UAC shared with the gathering their UAC experience. It was followed by a celebratory dinner. We congratulate Rev. Fr. Vijay Thomas, Fr.
