On the successful completion of five years of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology the Chairman of the Nagpur Pallottine Society, Very Rev. Fr. Augustine Varickakal, hosted a day of thanksgiving and celebration on February 10, 2009 at College campus. The programme consisted of a short prayer service, variety entertainments, and dinner. Confreres, associates, well wishers, officials, teaching and non teaching staff and all those who were associated with College from its infancy, numbering about five hundred, were the special invitees. Rev. Fr. Zenon Hanas, the Vice General, was the chief guest, and Rev. Fr. Gilberto Orsolin, the General Consultor, was the guest of honour. Most Rev. Abraham Viruthakulangara, the Arch Bishop of Nagpur graced the occasion. Fr. Zenon in his inaugural address called upon the college to impart not only the skills of building roads and bridges connecting the world, but on bridges and roads that would strengthen human relationships; not only on techniques of generating power, but on techniques of generating powerful and dynamic youth. |
