The maiden meeting of the Pallottine world of media (PALLAI: Pallottine Agency of Information) was held at Rome from July 15th to 20th 2009. There were 18 confreres from 10 provinces and three regions. Rev. Fr. Siju Jose Kuliraniyil represented the Province in this Meeting. The meeting focused on finding a common platform for coordinating Pallottine communication and information all over the world. The different entities presented their activities in the field of communication and media. The input sessions brought out Pallotti’s activities in the field of publishing and the challenges to the Pallottine presence in the mass media. The meeting also dealt with the use of modern media like internet and information technology in the communication within and out side the Pallottine world. The sharing in groups brought out the significance of our Charism and how it has to be propagated using the modern and traditional media forms. The discussions and the deliberations reflected a common need to coordinate the communication and information apostolate of the different entities in a systematic and coordinated manner.
