“Together for the Mission” was the motto of the recently concluded Course on Pallottine Mission Formation at Centro di Spiritualita San Vincenzo Pallotti at Grottaferrata, Rome. Frs. Johnson Maniyamkott, John Paul A and Sijoy Thomas represented the Prabhu Prakash Province while Fr. Jerome Lakra from the Kristu Jyothi Region and Fr. Xavier R. from the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province participated in the Programme. Srs. Sijie, Sheeja, Jeevanthi, Lilly Nanatt, Jacinta D’suza and Jacinta Fernandez from India also were present. There were more than 40 participants from all the five continents. The sharing of Mission and Apostolate lived and experienced by different persons from various continents was a rich experience. Walking along the Foot Steps of St. Vincent Pallotti was a real life experience. We concluded our Course on Mission Formation with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration at the Altar of St. Vincent Pallotti followed by an Agape at the Generalate. It was a real experience of the UAC.
We got many opportunities to visit various important places in Rome and have an audience with the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI. Visit to Assisi was another spiritual nourishment. We also visited the Generalates of the Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate and the Pallottine Missionary Sisters. We also enjoyed the hospitality of the Italian Provincialate at Via Ferari. All our Confreres both in the Generalate and in the Provincialate particularly our Indian Confreres were very kind to us.The entire programme was well organized and we wish to thank everyone especially the Provincial Administration for giving us this opportunity to participate in this programme.
