St. Vincent Pallotti School at Pallotti Nagar, Nagpur organized “St. Vincent Pallotti Memorial Vidarbha Inter-School Open Team Chess Championship 2009” in association with Vidarbha Chess Association.  The four day-meet that began on August 6, 2009 was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Mathew Thonickal, the Manager and Rev. Fr. Paul Animoottil, the Principal. There were 178 participants representing 22 schools of Vidarbha region. On the culmination day Rev. Fr. Augustine Varickakal, the Provincial, addressed the gathering and gave away the prizes to the champions.
