Formation

St. Vincent Pallotti strove with fervor for the preparation of clerics and religious for apostolic activity. He was a professor at the Roman “Sapiensa University” and spiritual director of the Propaganda Fide College, where future missionaries were prepared. He was also confessor and spiritual accompanier to many people of different social provenance. Two Popes, Gregory XVI and Pius IX had their confessions heard by him. St. Vincent Pallotti frequently withdrew from the activity of daily life in order to gather his energies in prayer and to renew his spiritual life in the Hermitage of the Camaldolese. All of these activities could be defined using the modern terminology of “religious formation”. The Province runs various centers of formation where the candidates are prepared for future pastoral and apostolic work in the Society.
